How clients send a booking request

This guide covers what your clients see, so you can explain it in a sentence or send them the link. It only applies once you have booking requests switched on in your portal configuration.

The client opens their portal

Clients sign in to your portal on their phone or laptop and see a Requests tab in the navigation. If you have not switched requests on, the tab is not there.

They tap Request a booking

The form is headed "Request a booking" with a clear note underneath: this is a request, not a confirmed booking. That sets expectations before they fill anything in.

They choose a service and date

For walks and services they pick from the services you have made requestable, then a date and an optional preferred time. The date picker respects your minimum notice and maximum advance settings.

For boarding they give a drop off date and a pick up date, with optional times for each.

They pick the pets and add a note

They tick which of their pets it is for, and can add anything the team should know, for example "Bella is a bit off her food this week".

They send it and wait for your answer

The request appears in their My requests list as pending, and lands in your inbox under Schedule, Requests. You are emailed that it has arrived.

They can withdraw it if plans change

While a request is still pending, a client can withdraw it from the portal. It moves to the withdrawn tab in your inbox, so you know not to action it.
