Scheduling and boarding

How to process booking requests

Every request your clients send lands in one place. This guide covers reviewing them, turning one into a real booking, and replying when the answer has to be no.

Open your requests inbox

Go to Schedule, then Requests. A count next to the menu item tells you how many are still pending, so you can clear them like an inbox.

Filter by status

Tabs across the top show pending, accepted, unable to accept and withdrawn, plus all. Pending is where the work is.

Review the detail

Open a request to see the client, which pets it is for, the service or boarding dates, any preferred time and the note they left. Check the day on your calendar before you answer.

Accept it into a booking

Click "Accept and add booking", or "Accept and add stay" for boarding. Your normal booking screen opens with the client, pets, service, date and time already filled in, and the price worked out from your service settings.

Adjust the time, walker or price if you need to, then save. The request is marked accepted and linked to the booking it created.

Reply when you cannot take it

Click "Can't accept" and pick or edit one of the suggested replies, for example fully booked or outside our area. The client is emailed and sees your message in their portal.

  • Keep it short and warm, most clients are asking for a favour.
  • Suggesting an alternative day often turns a no into a booking.

Check it landed

Accepted requests show the booking against them, and the work appears in your calendar and in the client's portal like any other booking. It is billed the same way too.
