How to pause, resume or end a recurring schedule
Clients go on holiday, change their days, or stop needing regular walks. Here's how to manage a recurring loop without deleting a client's whole walking history.
Open the recurring loop
Go to Calendar, switch to the Schedule view (or open one of the loop's generated walks and click Edit recurring) to open the loop's Edit recurring loop dialog.
Pause the loop
In the dialog footer, click Pause loop. This stops PawLoop generating new walks from this loop, but keeps its setup and history intact so you can pick it back up later.
Resume the loop
Reopen a paused loop and click Resume loop in the same spot. It starts generating upcoming walks again from that point on.
Delete the loop to end it for good
If the client is stopping altogether, click Delete loop. PawLoop asks you to confirm, since this removes future walks generated by this loop — click Delete to confirm.
- Deleting only removes future/unbooked walks from the loop — it doesn't touch past walks already recorded for invoicing or history.
Use an end date instead for a known finish point
If you already know when the loop should stop (for example, a fixed six-week block), set an End date on the loop instead of pausing or deleting it later — it'll wind down on its own.
