How to keep your payment details up to date

Go to Money, Online Payments, Set up, Open Business Portal, then Settings. Everything in this guide lives there.

Your trading name, business address, website or business description and contact details can all be edited. Keep these matching what your clients would recognise, since the name here can show on a client's bank statement.

Name, date of birth and home address for the person who runs the business. Change of address after a house move is the usual reason to touch this.

Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email or mobile, so these must be current. Update them under Settings, then confirm the change using the code sent to the new address or number.

If you have lost access to both, contact Stripe support directly, as we cannot change them for you.

Where your account supports it, you can give someone else access to the portal, for example a bookkeeper. Add them by email and they get their own sign-in. Remove them the same way when they no longer need it.

Portal access is separate from PawLoop access. Removing someone from your PawLoop team does not remove them here.

If Stripe asks for a document or a detail to confirm, it appears under Tasks and you will be emailed. Deal with it promptly. Payouts can be paused until it is done, and PawLoop switches card payments off automatically if your account stops being able to take payments, so clients never see a button that will fail.
