Scheduling and boarding

How to configure your boarding prices

Boarding is priced by the hour, based on how long a stay is from drop-off to pick-up. You set this up once per boarding type in Settings, and PawLoop calculates the price on every booking automatically.

Open Settings → Business

Go to Settings in the sidebar and select the Business tab. You'll find the Boarding types card here.

Add a boarding type

Click Add next to Boarding types. Give it a name — such as 'Overnight boarding' or 'Day care' — and pick a colour to help spot it on the calendar.

Add price bands for length of stay

Add one or more bands, each with a From and Up to number of hours and a price per hour. Leave From empty for your shortest stays, and leave Up to empty for your longest stays.

Example: up to 4 hrs at £4.00/hr, 4–24 hrs at £2.50/hr, and 24 hrs+ at £1.80/hr — a 36-hour stay costs 36 × £1.80 = £64.80.

Add an extra-pet rate (optional)

Set an extra pet rate on a band to charge a different hourly rate for each additional pet from the same household booked on the same stay, instead of the full rate per pet.

Set a daily price cap (optional)

Add a maximum price per day to stop long stays running up an unrealistic total. For example, £30.00/hr with a £100.00/day cap means a 3-day (72 hour) stay costs £300.00 rather than £2,160.00.

Save the boarding type

Click Save. The new type is now available whenever you or your team book a stay, and its price fills in automatically based on the drop-off and pick-up times.
