How to write automatic push notification messages
Each automatic push notification has a title and message you can edit. Placeholders in curly brackets are swapped for real details when the notification is sent, so one message works for every client or team member.
Open a notification's message
Go to Notifications, Push notifications, Settings, then expand the notification you want to edit with the arrow.
How placeholders work
A placeholder is a word in curly brackets, for example {invoice_number}. When the notification is sent, PawLoop replaces it with the real value, such as INV-0042.
Click into the title or message, then click a placeholder button to insert it where your cursor is. You can also type them yourself, exactly as shown, with no spaces.
Each notification only supports its own placeholders. Anything PawLoop doesn't recognise is left exactly as you typed it, so check the preview.
- Titles can be up to 150 characters. About 40 show on a lock screen.
- Both the title and message are required.
- The preview shows your message using example details.
