What's new in PawLoop: week of 24–30 August
It's been a big week at PawLoop. We've shipped a full refresh of how you set up services, a smarter calendar, new ways to talk to your clients, and a batch of billing improvements that our customers asked for directly. Here's everything that's new.
Scheduling and calendar
Custom calendar events
Your calendar is no longer just services. Add anything you like — vet runs, admin blocks, holidays, a team meeting — with a title, description, date, time, duration and notes. Events sit alongside your bookings so your day is genuinely all in one place, and only the person who created an event can edit it.
Edit a whole group walk at once
If several dogs are booked into the same group walk, you can now reschedule or cancel the entire group in one go. Change the time once and every linked booking updates — no more editing five bookings by hand.
Your calendar, your operating hours
Under Settings → Business → Operations you can set the hours your business runs. The calendar now starts and ends at those times instead of a fixed 7am–7pm, so there's far less dead space to scroll past.
Calendar no longer jumps around
Fixed the scroll position resetting as you move between days and weeks.
Services setup
Durations in hours and minutes
No more converting to minutes in your head. Set a service as "2 hours 30 minutes" and PawLoop handles the rest behind the scenes. Anything over 90 minutes now displays in hours (e.g. "2.5 hours") across booking screens, while finish times keep calculating exactly as before.
Service types, and grouped service lists
Every service now has a type — Walk, Day care, Pet sitting, or Other (with your own free-text label). When you book, services are grouped under those headings instead of one long list, so the right one is much quicker to find.
Client and pet search on recurring bookings
Creating or editing a recurring booking now has the same search as a one-off — find by client or by pet, whichever you think in. Turning a one-off into a recurring booking still carries all the details across.
Settings
Business settings, tidied up
The Business tab was getting crowded, so it's now split into sub-tabs: Services (your service types and boarding types), Details & branding (business details, logo and invoice branding), Billing (billing cycle and mode), and Operations (closures and operating hours). All existing links point to the right place, and old bookmarks redirect automatically.
Billing and invoicing
Bill to the end of the month
A new option for monthly billing. If your billing day is, say, the 28th but you want the bill to cover the whole calendar month, switch this on and PawLoop will include everything up to the 30th or 31st. Off by default, so nothing changes unless you want it to.
Boarding priced by 24-hour blocks
Boarding pricing now supports block-based 24-hour logic with hourly rates and daily caps, so long stays price the way you'd actually charge for them.
WhatsApp invoice sharing
Send an invoice straight to a client over WhatsApp with a secure link — no PDF attachment, no email chasing.
Clients and communication
Client Communications tab
Each client profile now has a Communications tab, where you can send that client their schedule for the week ahead in one click.
Weekly schedule sends from the Notification Centre
Send the week-ahead schedule to multiple clients at once, with a live preview built from real booking data. Only clients with something booked receive the email.
Send a test first
Both the Notification Centre and the client Communications tab now let you send a test to any email address (defaulting to yours) before the real send. Test emails render exactly as the client would receive them, marked with a [TEST] subject.
Better email previews
Previews now show your business logo, matching what actually lands in the client's inbox.
Client portal
Control whether times are shown
A new portal setting controls whether clients see service times. It's off by default, and when enabled, times only show for the next 7 days.
Portal settings organised
Portal settings are now grouped into client access and configuration, and you can preview the portal exactly as your clients see it.
Getting started
A smoother onboarding flow
New businesses now go through a rebuilt pre-account flow that recommends the right plan, lets you skip service setup, handles group walk options (group size and additional dog pricing) and names services around what you actually do.
Help & Support in the app
A searchable Help page inside PawLoop, with a contact form and quick links into the guides.
Plan limit nudges
Clear, non-naggy prompts when you approach your plan's client limit.
Mobile
New floating bottom navigation
On mobile there's a new rounded, floating glass navigation bar, with the calendar as the central action in PawLoop's colours.
